Its easy to check if it is original the serial is stamp in the wood under the trigger guard.

The lack of the serial number stamped in the wood might well mean something. I've got stamp sets in several different sizes and fonts and I'm sure plenty of stock makers and dealers do too!!

The stock looks like it came with the gun - too good a fit around the action and butt plate for it not to be - unless someone was really, really good. JMHO
