Employee made guns.

I am trying to track down a rumor that workers in the R&D area may have had a hand in the construction of a prototype rifle for Standard Arms about 1908 ish. I was also told that Remington ended up with the remains of Std Arms when they went out of business. I also heard that Pope ended up with the parts. I do know that Numrich has a fair pile of new parts. I have some cartridges with a Standard Arms headstamp that look very Remington like. Any thoughts out there?
