I reside in northcentral North Carolina and own a custom rimfire benchrest rifle with a 40X action built in 1955. The custom rifle was built by Gene Davis. Does anyone here know how many of the 40X and 40XB rifles were built between 1955 and 1974? I have done a lot of research online, but I can't find the production numbers from the custom shop for this rifle.
