Nice gun.
This is not a Navy model, but a Remington New Model Police.
Givaways:
The frame screws enter from the right side.
Blade frontsight.
Shape of frame.
Probably has a 5 shot cylinder.

The Police were made between 1865 and 1873 in about 18.000 units. Serials started on 1.

Here is a picture of a New Model Navy. This is a little spesial the barrel is 6-1/2 inch instead of the usual 7-3/8. It also has a "wrong" serialnumber. These models continued their serials from the 61 Navy about 23000, but this one has serial 7.
