I am based in Tasmania (Australia), yes home of the famous Tasmanian Devil. I am 47 and a computer programmer working for Australia's Antarctic Program which has been doing stuff in Antarctica since 1947.
I am a collector and shooter of 19th Century, mostly American firearms, some originals and some replicas. I am a member of the Australian affiliated branch of the Single Action Shooting Society. I shoot a lot of black powder cap and ball revolvers, Remington and Colt style replicas and that is probably my strongest area of shooting expertise.
The era that interests me most in collecting are the transitional periods like the conversion to cartridges because I love all things engineering and appreciate the innovations and developments and thinking behind these arms.
