I have a Model 550 .22 Short/Long/ LR given to me by my father but the manufacturing date has come into question...
The barrel stamp shows "KT T". My first thought is that it's a '48 but could be a '70 that is a "T" model. It also has clear varnish on the stock and a plastic knob on the bottom of the pistol grip and can't seem to find when Remington used those methods in production. (of course there is a chance it was varnished after the sale too) Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
