Twist Rates of Model 760 Barrel???

Okay, I took the 760 to the range the other day and put some reloads through it. The 165 gr. gamekings didn't do as well as the 180 grs. Does any one know what the twist rate is for a 760 that ws made in 1960? This is a target using the 180gr bullets. The 165 gr bullets grouped about three times this one:



So far it looks like this fine rifle likes heavier bullets. It will be put to go use here in brushy Virginia.

Rafsob, with that rifle and even with the open sights, I'd say that the deer in your county might be in grave danger. ha ha ha

Don't have a 1960 catalog, but the 1980 says 1 in 10" right hand twist.
