The last time I fired my .35 Rem. Model 14, the empty cases had protruding primers. Had the headspace checked, and the rifle locks up on the no-go gauge +0.003 in. Gunsmith says it's borderline.
What are the repair options, and who do you recommend to make the repairs?

Rem. 14 Headspace Problem
Sounds like you have a tired old friend. You could set the barrel back. With all the conneting items that index to the barrel, you would have to find someone very good that could place the barrel in the proper position. There are smiths that can do that type of work. Just get on the net and look for one. I'm thinking that the price you will have to pay would pay for a new rifle. It's all up to you. Happy hunting.
