600 in .223 value

Post by smac61 »

I have a 600 in .223 that I need to figure out a reasonable asking price on. Blue book doesn't seem to be right, and the only one I saw actually for sale on the web was priced shockingly high (didn't sell of course)

Thanks
edit: Well its available if anyones interested...

It's hard to really set a value on them. I've seen them sold from $1500-$7400. It just has to be at the right time when a collector really feels they need one. I sold one a while back for $5325 but soon after that a guy couldn't even get a bid for half that. Of course they didnt sell because the seller had a higher reserve reaching for the sky. Another major factor is it one of the 315 factory chambered 600s in the 223. I have seen a LOT of fakes. Did I mention a lot? If it's one of 315 factory chambered 600 223s in 95% condition I think a realistic price now would be between $3500-4500. A more rare 660 in the 223 sold close to that just about 6 months ago.
