curious as to the actual date of manufacture on my New Model Army.
The fella I bought it from originally told me it was an 1858...
the paperwork that came with it calls it an 1861...
I realize these are sometimes used as model designations and are no indication of the year produced.
would one of you fine fellas be so kind as to clear this up for me.
serial number is 943xx
