Information on New Model 1858

Gentlemen

I am a Danish collector with a cal.44 New Model 1858 in my collection.

Serial no. on all parts including frame under left grip is 38343. Scattered all over several proofing letters. On the left grip remnants of a inspectors cartouche. Having compared with several other posts and pictures on the net, I believe the letters are BH.

Any information as to the date of production (and to whom issued) will be greatly appreciated.

Unless I´m mistaken, your revolver was manufactured mid 1863.
