Remington Arms Co. introduced their John M. Browning designed Remington Autoloading Gun in 1905. In 1911 M. Hartley Dodge combined his firearms company with his ammunition company as Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. Shortly after that they began calling the John M. Browning designed shotgun the Model 11. From the available serial number list in James Tipton's article on these guns, your gun is from 1909.
