I'm looking for some help. I have collected 142 entries in my Excel Worksheet of Remington 550 Model Numbers, date codes, and other data. However, I have yet to find the date codes for Remington Rifles manufactured in 1954 (date Code A or AA). I've asked for general info in another post, but this post is more of a begging for data post.
If any of you have a Remington 550 with a A or AA (1954) date code, you would be really helping me out if you could provide the following:
1.) Model number (550, 550 1 (no dash), 550-I (undefined 1), 550-1, 550P, 550-1P, 550-G2):
2.) Date Code on left side of bar.l, just forward of the receiver (e.g., R PP, etc..):
3.) Remington Stamp Between receiver & sight (Yes or No):
4.) Pattern on the top of the receiver (Decorative Lines Only, Smooth (no lines), Smooth with Scope Mount Groves, Decorative Lines with Scope Mount Groves):
5.) Magazine Cartridge Opening (Oval Shaped, Cartridge Shaped, 22 Short Only Shape):
