I've read this questions about the 20ga magnum before, but..

I have an 1100 20ga standard magnum and yes I want to convert it to 12ga. However my situation is different. Along with the standard 20ga I also own a 12ga. 1100. I want to swap the internals.

The reason is the 20ga is immaculate and since I don't shoot 20ga (the gun is pretty much a youth loaner) it's pretty much useless to me. The 12ga was given to me and I shoot it, but it's chewed up with rust pitting.

So by swapping the parts I can have a nice 12ga that I'll shoot and I can have the junkier looking gun as a loaner.

Is this swap possible considering I actually own the two guns. Most of these threads the guy is convinced it's too expensive before the possibility is addressed.
