1100 20g frame buffer replacement

Post by cthraen »

I need advice on replacing the frame buffer on my 1978 20g LT Magnum. I have the new part but it is entirely different than the one used back in 1978.

Me thinks maybe you have the wrong part. I too have a 1978 (March) LT-20 Magnum, and the receiver buffers I have seen - F14689B 1100 RECEIVER BUFFER 20-28-410 GA look just like the one in my gun. Is it possible you have a F14902 1100 RECEIVER INSERT 28 & 410 GA ?

Thanks for your reply.
I talked with Remington and this is what they send out as the frame buffer. The buffer in my 1100 is a doughnut with a bevel on the forward edge. Is the part the F14902?
