870 sungrain stocks

Post by redhawk44 »

I have a friend who is interested in the 870 w/sungrain stocks.

I see that they were introduced in about 1961, but I have no information as to how many were produced, and exactly what kind of wood was used, all it says is that the 870TX was "also avaikable" in walnut.

Can any of you help me out here? :D

You might try posting this in the shotgun section instead of this pistol section.

Thanks for this great information. By the way, the field grade 20 magnum may have actually been the production figures for the standard 20. My 20 gauge skeet is pretty rare, but I would still like to find a Not So Rare 12 gauge skeet to match it.

The 12 gauge guns are still pretty rare. You don't run across them very often.

I think I have a stock around here somewhere. I would like to find a Sun Grain 870 forend so I can put a gun together.
