Remington Model 10

Post by AZMike » Sun Aug 11, 2019 5:26 am

I am curious if any collectors have seen any Model 10D, F, T"s with a damascus barrel? I have read but not seen that the Winchester Model 97 could be purchased with the damascus option.

While the "standard" barrels of the Remington Repeating Shotgun/Model 1908/Model 10 was Remington Steel, in the pre-WW-I years the option of an Ordnance Steel barrel was offered. From the 1909 Remington Arms Co. catalog --

Ordnance Barrels on Model 10's are as scarce as Damascus on a '97.

Even less common on a Remington Autoloader.
