Brand new user here. This is a fabulous websight!
I have spent hours here!
I have a very nice rear half of a 1885 double barrel shotgun, but am missing the barrels. I am also missing the correct hammer on the right side. Normally I wouldn't mess with this but what I have is in such nice condition I thought I would try and find the barrels. It's a plain gun with no engraving. Anyone have any reasonably priced barrels? I'd appreciate it.

If I'm reading the S/N correctly (18781) it would appear that you have an '85 rather than an '82 according to Semmer's book. The '82 S/Ns ran from 1000 - ~17000.

I believe Sir...you are correct. I was mistaken, according to the serial numbers it is indeed a model 1885. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I will correct the posts.
