Hi, I'm new to this forum and have a question for ya'all.
I have an opportunity to purchase a Model 721 30-06. I've checked a couple of auction sites for comparison prices but found none. If anybody out there can give me a ballpark price, I would appreciate it.

good condition (clean bright bore, average finish wear for a used hunting gun)
Can anybody tell me also the year of manufacture?

The one I have was being sold for $300. As for date of production, check the production code on the left side of the barrel up where it joins the receiver. Should be three letters. Then look on the Remington Society website for the question, "What year was my Remington made", or something like that. It will tell you month and year of production.
