Early Fieldmaster 572 aluminum butt plate

Post by mcav3579 »

Hello All.

I have an early Fieldmaster 572. Aluminum butt plate and receiver. No Serial Number (pre-1968). The stock grip are forearm is not checkered. Would you date this rifle to between 1957-1962? Is this a Crow Wing Black (CWB) model? Thank you.

Look for the barrel date code. Should be on there.

All of my lite weights are gone, but as I remember the BT, TWB, and CWB all had chrome triggers, magazine tubes,
and silver or gold colored sights. They also had blond wood with checkering.
That's as I recall.
