Rolling Block #4 Take Down

Post by bigbenaustin25 »

I have a Rem Rolling Block #4 take down (with lever) with Serial J221923 in 32cal. I was wondering when it might have been made.
I'd love to shoot it, but I know .32rim is hard to find or is $$$.

Thanks!

Dixie sells brass in 32R which uses 22 blanks for the primer. Bit of a hassle to load but works ok in a single shot rifle. When loading the rounds the 22 must line up with the hammer/firing pin. That's what I use in my Flobert. I've thought of drilling the breechblock to move the firing pin location for a centerfire cartridge but I don't think it's worth the effort.
