I am looking for some information about a Remington rolling block model 4 rifle that has been identified as a rare Cadet model. Rifle has a 28 inch barrel with long fore-end extending close to the muzzle. Barrel is round and has numerous markings consistent with this model. It is a lever takedown variant and is chambered for .22 short, long, or long rifle cartridges. My research so far has told me it was made about 1911-12 and only about 300 were made (as takedown ?). Serial number (under barrel in front of receiver) is 10 and the number 321 is stamped into the butt just behind the grip.
Rifle is in good condition for age but blueing is worn on barrel and rifling is faint, but visible.
I am located in Australia and am wondering if there are any records of this model variant being sent here. (I am thinking a bulk purchase by a private school or other organisation.) There are quite a few sporting models appearing for sale on gun sites here so the rolling block rifle was once common here.
Would like to find out a bit more in general about this particular model. Information on it appears scarce and I thought this would be the best place to ask.
An indication of likely collector value would also be appreciated.

Several photos of the rifle described above in my initial post.
Opposite order to what I intended unfortunately.

I think these are the same, but I've certainly been corrected before ...

Not the same model. The Cadet pre-dates the Boy-Scout model by a year or two.admin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:22 am I think these are the same, but I've certainly been corrected before ...

What intrigues me is that my rifle seems to have the same serial number as one that John Gyde posted on this forum in 2010 about once owning .
As I am in another country I am finding it hard to believe mine can be the same rifle. He did say that only a handful of this model may still exist.
I would be interested in his thoughts on this.
