Remington 700 CDL .30-06

Post by MikeS27 » Mon Feb 17, 2020 3:29 pm

Yesterday I was at my local gunshop and noticed a model 700 on the used rack. I picked it up and noticed the fluting on the barrel. I own multiple Remington 700's and so do guys I shoot and hunt with, and I have never seen a CDL this has fluting and is a blued finish. I know Remington makes "special edition" rifles that are stainless and fluted. I called Remington today and they said the rifle was made in 2009. Has anyone seen or own a rifle like mine?

I wouldn't take their word for it.......unless you gave them the barrel date code.

Check it yourself.

What if my barrel code- which is on the right side of the barrel- is not listed on the list below?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. The right side of my barrel has "DD"- so does that mean September 2009?

Sounds reasonable.
