Can anybody identify this sight

Hello- I am new to Remington rifles. I was gifted a Targetmaster 512-P without a rear sight. Can anybody tell me if this sight is from a Targetmaster or if it will fit the mount-holes on the left side of my rifle? . I am looking forward to shooting with this rifle since it was last used by my late grandfather.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it will fit, but it is not an original sight for the 512-P.

Looks like a "shop" made sight.
