Need Remington model 8 information

I inherited a Model 8 .35 calibre with the a circle enclosing the letter 'J' and 713 stamped below that (bottom of receiver and internally) the copyright date is 1906, can anyone tell me the actual date of manufacture? I have been able to partially disassemble the rifle (forearm, stock, barrel, receiver) but want to know how to remove the inner barrel from the barrel shroud(?) for cleaning as the rifle didn't appear to have been disassembled or cleaned in the last ??? years. My father wasn't even aware the barrel & receiver came apart for transportation.
