Rolling Block identification

Post by tbird1960 »

I have what I think is a Remington Rolling Block in Caliber 32-40. It has a cheekpiece stock that is checkered, the barrel is 28 inches and half octagon and half round. The round part tapers down to 13/16 at the muzzle. The only marking I can find on it is 3398 on bottom tang which is longer than the top tang and 3398 on the bottom of the barrel under the forearm. Any information would be helpful.
