7 mm Rolling Block reloading question

Post by DocHunter »

I have learned about fire-forming cases in the 7 mm RB, and then read to only neck-size after that. My question is: How do you remove the spent primer from a fired case without running it all the way down the sizing die, thus reforming the shoulder to the standard 7x57 dimensions?

You should be able to readjust the decapping pin lower into the die. What you wind up doing is "screwing out" the die body then "
screwing in" the decapping rod.

I use a Lee Universal de-capping die but mt 50/70 die does just as well. I would guess that any die for a larger round would do.
