This is to go along with the several other RB I have.
I have been redirecting my collecting to the RBs and have been researching several 7MM and .43's I have put up. This latest is a # 4 type action with a 20 in barrel in very nice condition. There is no indication of the Hex flat of a 79 Arge. with a roller type extractor and standard 3 line post 74 rem tang line. If this is NOT a Arge and no other id's where is it from. I have studied the new Layman's book many time over and can't ID the "B" just 1/4 inch forward of the barrel shank on the right side or the "P" 3 inches forward of the sight base on the right side of the barrel. The sight itself is also not ID'd as it is the short ladder flip-up but has a 3 and 6 mark and a perfect triangle with a dot in the center, with a "PN" just under I have some pics that I hope will help? thanks.

Still waiting for some answers to this and I have been busy on a trip and made several more Rem RB purchases.

The B and the P you refer to are Remington inspector marks. No photo of the rear sight so ?????
