Remington 51 nickel

PA 24086 serial... nickel model 51 380 acp Remington , inspected by Gunsmith confirms original finish ..,has the anchor on trigger guard ..year, ?rarity , ?value ?and would the factory have done the nickel?...file too big to show picture but it is 95% or better ..,thanks

Quick way is to check is if anchor is stamped through the nickel and not under...

It looks like a regular stamp that broke the surface of the nickel. So I understand if a true nickel the stamp would break the surface , if redone in nickel The coating would have covered it, or is it the other way around .Well it appears stamped thru and all the other writing , serial # etc all appear to have broken the surface of the metal, the edges are all consistent in color no dulling or excessive sharpness from polishing or buffing

Sounds good, people can do some good work but that's a hard one (or not worth it?) one to fake.
