Remington 51 pistol 380 in nickel

Post by Bigbird »

Thanks for the join,,,picked this 51 up today in 380 , nickel finish, Gunsmith looked at it under magnifying glass confirmed that the finish was original, edges sharp everything very readable ...so did factory do this ? Value of this vs the blue ones? ..approximate value and date of manufacture? ...it does have the anchor symbol on trigger guard.,I am having a time uploading picture as file is too large but this is at least a 95% pistol no blemishes at all ...HELP...thank you

Sorry for the late post, but I rarely go to the modern side of the forum. The anchor is the mark of Remington inspector, Frank Anchor. If your 51 is original and from the factory it would be only the 2nd. known factory nickel 51. Value?? Pick a number! If it were factory nickel I'd start about 4x the value of a blue gun. The problem is proving that the gun has a factory finish.
