took down a model 12a and having trouble getting it back together. This rifle was disassembled years ago and apparently put back together without retainer. I ordered one from gunparts but can't seem to get it right.
Update...Wisner's gives good information on this subject. Apparently the retainer I bought from Numrich(Gun Parts) was a tiny bit too thick. After some careful filing and polishing (I only removed a few thousandths of an inch.) It went together and works great. Thanks.
