Hello all! Thanks for allowing my onto the forum. I'm a Remington junky that got into this when I was given my grandfathers model 81 in 300 savage. It's topped with a Williams side mount and a Lyman Alaskan.Still in use its taken over 100 deer , some bears and some coyotes , he bought it in 1946. Also have my great grandfathers model 8 bought in 1925.Anyway I have a model 8 that was in John Henwoods last book because I have a letter to the original owner and a registration card with the serial number on it. Wondered if that made the gun worth more. He wood said he had never seen one before.Any feed back would be appreciated! Thanks!
