Hello I have a gun that was sold to be 16 years ago by an elderly lady who stated her dad was C K Davis. The gun is a Smith and Wesson with the name C K Davis engraved on the side of it. She stated the gun was a gift from S&W when her dad was the president of Remington. I found that Davis was the president from 1933 to 1953. The gun is a Hammerless Chiefs Special serial number 1819. Mint condition in the box with all the original tools and paperwork.
Trying to find out information on the gun and if this is a true story. I have a request out to the history dept at S&W and looking for a way to see if Remington has a history of this. Anyone know of a way to contact them directly or anyway to get info to them.
