Re: Anchor symbol
Thanks I can accept that. Now how or what way can I determin the age. it says Oct 1941 or 1963. Which one is it?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Re: Anchor symbol
Unless it's a real real high serial number (near 400,000) and they then drifted into the next year 63 (they officially stopped in 62) it would be 1941 and a fairly low serial.

Re: Anchor symbol
Hi,
Ok, Thanks 1941 make more sence. There is no serial number at all. anywhere on this 512-P. It was given to me many, many years ago from an old elderly neighbor. Around 1982 And shot about 20 times and put in a cover/case and put in closet. Wondering what it would be worth now?
Thanks again.

Re: Anchor symbol
Try looking for a serial number on the underside of the barrel just forward of the stock forearm. I purchased one from a pawn shop some years back that the owner had listed as "NSN" (No Serial Number). Later on, when I got it home, I discovered it had a serial number at the place mentioned.
Re: Anchor symbol
While on the subject of the anchor symbol, I can't begin to tell how many arguments I have had with gun show "experts" about the anchor on Remington 51 auto pistols NOT indicating being issued to U.S. Navy officers.
