Hi Niklas, If your serial number is 84970 your revolver was manufactured in July of 1864. Did you check under the left grip to see if the number on the frame matches the number on the barrel? Your revolver seems to have a cone front sight which is dovetailed into the barrel. These front sights are usually found on transition NMA revolvers with much lower serial numbers.
