I'd buy an archival box (a larger one) and the tape and make a box for this.
It's just cheaper to buy a larger box and use it as materials to make exact fit boxes than buy the materials otherwise. I made archival boxes for all my boxes so they wouldn't further deteriorate.
This box deserves it :D

I was beginning to think nobody thought this was interesting.
I consider this one of my most outstanding pieces.
The box is #'rd to the gun.
I'm not sure what an Archival box is.???
Thanks for your reply
Mike

It's a very nice Elliot, with a nice box.
Just google archival boxes, it's just non-acid cardboard etc for protection of valuable papers etc.
I'm also a very big fan of renaissance wax, it's what (at least many) museums use on their antique firearms for protection. Makes they blue just a bit more purty and well it's for wood so ;)
A very wise person said to me long ago....

Don't buy 12 brown guns, buy the best gun you can't afford.

I must have been eavesdropping on your conversation with the wise man.
I have always been attracted to pieces in "fine+" condition. They take me back to that place in time when they were fairly new. The finishes and craftsmanship are what I admire.
I usually can only buy 1 or 2 each year, but after 40 odd years I have a few.
I would be delighted to see a couple of your favorites.
Best regards
Mike

All my favorites belong to someone else now....
I'd have to dig for pictures
In 4 barrels I had a set with acid etched barrels and engraved frames.
In 5 barrels I also had a set and do have a picture in hand from an old email.

Stepping back one from the Elliot, the ZigZag was always one of my favorites.
The card dates perfectly to the box, it needed to stay in there....

There are close in serial number which, I'm not expert, but I believe Remington just pulled guns off the line sequential just wasn't considered. If there's sequential pair of anything out there, I haven't seen it, maybe the gold dust queens? Anyhow there is a 3rd one of these which is also very close in serial. if there's another I haven't seen it. These hung on a wall in a box for 50+ years before I got them.

As I am unlikely to ever own one of these, It is a pleasure to see images.
If you come across any more pics of your ex-collection, please post some

Great video!
Thanks for sharing it.
I have 3 of these and I would love to shoot them if I had ammo and a convenient area.

It is a fun little thing to shoot. It may be small, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those four .32 slugs at card table distance.

Steve.
I watched your video again and the Remington seems like it is much easier to cock and fire than other spur trigger pocket pistols of the era.
Very cool!

It was surprisingly easy to shoot. It is much like a double action only revolver.
