Hi,
How much you load in your New Model Army and what is the best caliber bullet .454 or .457?
Thx for your reply

Re: Loading powder
I assume you have a original, not a repro?
I use 25 grains of 3f. That is the only real Black I have available right now.
I do have some 1F but it is used in my Cannon. I use filler sometimes on top the powder to take up space. Sometimes I use wads.
Ball size is dependent more on the particular Firearm than anything. I use .457. In a original likely you need .457s too. The newer repros seem to run .454.
I think anymore than 25 grains or so in any repro or original will just cause accuracy loss anyway.

Re: Loading powder
Tank you,
Yes it's for an original
I use swiss N°1, 15 grains + "couscous 23 grains at 27 yards, it's keep the 9 (eventualy) !
This kind of powder is very fast, sometimes I load 21 grains but it's little bit shaking !!!
