SEEKING a 1950s or 1960s LONG-Action Model 760

Post by k3csa »

New Friends,

I'm seeking a Model 760 LONG-action (.270, .30-06) Model 760 with badly pitted or shot-out barrel to rebore/refinish to 9.3x62mm for hunting really BIG/dangerous game, OCONUS.

I would prefer a 1950s-1960s "plain jane" rifle with the "corncob" fore end & NO cheek piece, as I'm a southpaw.

Truthfully I don't even care what the exterior finish looks like, as it will be completely refinished, though I'm NOT looking for "a piece of junk" that is badly pitted or "non-functional".
(I may well have the rifle manganese "parkerized". - This will be a WORKING RIFLE for hunting in all weathers.)

IF you have such Model 760 pump-gun "that needs a friend", please PM me with your photos & price.

yours, tex
