New to site with lots of questions, n I'm sure I'll find the right answers here. I've a few Remingtons in my collection, but I'm been always wondered what the UMC stands for on my model 11 . Thanks happy new year. .....olllllo

Union Metallic Cartridge Company they purchased Remington Arms Company in 1912. Remington has a history page here, they say combined, well ok if you say so ;)
