Re: Floating the barrel on a 1980 synthetic 700 .270
Well just covering the bases because I don't know your personal shooting habits. I assume this is a standard barrel Remington 700. On average you will get around 4-5 shots before the barrel begins to warm up which will cause flyers. Shoot around two shots Nd let the barrel cool and take another two....

Re: Model 722 40x Rimefire
I know a lot of people think that the heart shaped proof mark think that it means its a Hart barrel. That's completely false. I never heard anything about Hart barrels being factory installed on the. 40X 722 .22's. Hart is very proud of themselves and there work. I would imagine they would label it ...

Re: 1959 Remington 721 30-06 need help to indentify engraver
From what I understand engravers from Remington back then were not suppose to sign there work. They would secretly and VERY small engrave there initials in a rock or a tree truck etc.... It will take a while with a magnify glass to find it if signed. This engraving holds no Remington characteristics.

It's definitely not factory, so I don't know how anyone would really know.

Remington Model 12 advertisements
Looking for any magazine, newspaper, etc... advertisements that have anything to do with the Remington Model 12. The ads would date between 1909-1936. Could be gun case ads, Lyman ads, Matbles ads, Maxim ads and so on. Thanks for any help!

I felt it was reblued as well. At least the receiver. I just didn't want you to think I was picking at it.

Re: Calling RESEARCHER! - Remington Model 11 C Trap Grade
Got ya! I found it. Yes the recoil pad is not original. It came with a hard plastic style butt plate. 14" leingth of pull. So if yours has not been cut you will need some long arms. The one I found was a members that sold at auction with an estimate of $2500-$3500. This one looks near mint.

Re: Calling RESEARCHER! - Remington Model 11 C Trap Grade
I have some model 11's, and they all have some sort of engraving or I would say stamping of ducks or pheasants on them. I know none of them are higher grade. Sportmans grade maybe? I guess I could be learning something. What would make yours different? Is it choked different for trap? It's hard for ...

Re: Calling RESEARCHER! - Remington Model 11 C Trap Grade
I know next to nothing about model 11's. I would expect a fancier gun if your labeling this as a C-grade?? At least some sort of engraving on the receiver??

Re: Remington model 12 ejector spring/plunger
Yes, you must have the later model 12. They changed it from a little piece of springsteel to a what is called the "ejector plunger". I do not know the screw size. Sorry! If you hit parts on the RSA homepage scroll down and see which dealers deal with the model 12. I'm sure someone on there...

Re: Rem 700 BDL 22" HB .308 SA
Like I said its my opinion, but I would at least get a Leupold 6x18 40mm. That's if I was looking at 300yd average shots.

Re: Rem 700 BDL 22" HB .308 SA
IMHO a 10 power scope isn't up to par for 300 yard precise shooting. My bench guns all have 36 power scopes and defiantly not illuminated red dots. Maybe I'm old fashion. If I was wanting to be serious I would leave it alone if there are no problems. Invest in a higher powered fine cross hair scope....
