Forgot to post this photo of the Magazine tube cap retention system after install. As well since I shoot mostly clay targets, the magazine plug was removed and I installed the spring retainer. Parts available at Gunpartscorp.com for the model 11 interestingly enough.

Re: model 11 (1939 ish) 20ga

butt_&_pad.jpg This is how the Factory Supercell #19471 looks on the model 11 butt stock. Not the greatest fit. However I matched up the bottom part because the upper doesn't make much contact with the "pocket" in my shoulder. Comes up nicely and the LOP is correct so sight right ...

Re: model 11 (1939 ish) 20ga

Nice post... thanks! I've been working on fixing the model 11 up to a good shooter condition. I enjoy taking it out to my skeet range and shooting a few rounds with it. Members are always amazed how well I shoot the plain barrel gun with MOD choke. I'm finishing the work this afternoon by putting a ...

model 11 (1939 ish) 20ga

I found an old "beater" remington model 11 in 20ga and couldn't pass it up. It's a good shooter, and with a few replacement parts and a shoe shine it'll be just fine. I have pulled the stock and forend. 20201012_154632.jpg 20201012_154804.jpg and have ordered replacement parts for the Maga...

Re: Remington Model 1100 rare piece

Unlikely you'll find a remchoke barrel for this shotgun. New production barrels won't fit. It's a 12ga receiver and many of the parts are simply "special". Although you'll find it easy enough to sell this... many competitors who shoot Remington's prefer this heavier gun to the current prod...

New Sear Springs for 1100 & 870 series shotguns

I have had good success with the first batch of sear springs, and have expanded my product to include 2lb & 3lb sear springs. We've done extensive testing on both springs and find the spread to be +/- one ounce nominal. Tests conducted using multiple springs and multiple passes. I've lowered the...

Over 260 springs sold, and not one complaint, or request for refund. I've had another batch made up... order now.

Re: Model 1100 - 1187 - 870 sear springs

How long ago did you buy the spring? Was it yellow? I tried many, all saying they were light pull... none of them was less than 5. Hmmm. Well my springs work great. I have installed a dozen and every one is the same nice light 3 lb pull. The best part of my offering is the price includes shipping. O...

Re: 1975 vintage upgrade - upgraded again

I recently got a 2lb sear spring from a friend, and put it into one of my many 1100's. Wow! what a great difference... yes it's light, but my scores at Skeet went up dramatically... Was shooting a 18-21 now shooting 21-23. I wanted to get all of my personal 1100 family guns upgraded to this. Searche...

Re: Model 1100 - 1187 - 870 sear springs

If you're reading this... you have probably done the same thing I did... and been unhappy with the results. I have tried every spring offered by major suppliers Midw- MG- Brown- and on and on. Every one says they have a light pull spring. Most are only a pound or two lighter than the HEAVY 7lb facto...
