Re: Remington is dead and the Remington Society is dying
IMG_1297.JPG I am a long time Remington collector, fairly short time forum/computor driver and a brand new RSA member! Kathleen and I have our reservations made for the Cody Seminar. I am hoping to meet fellow Remington Shotgun Buds, I like to shoot them too! Many thanks to Mike Alsop for his time ...

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns
In my 60 years experience, I would estimate 45% field, 40% skeet, and 15% trap. Lots of skeet guns out there, but not many 28" barrel skeets. I started collecting 32's back in the Shotgun News publication days, it seemed to me that I found more TC's for sale than Skeet or Field guns-- no scien...

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns
The Runge engraved Model 32 is an absolutely gorgeous upgrade.
Very classic look right down to the Hawkins pad! I bet it auctions well, I flipped the sofa cushions real quick but figure I'll be a little short!
Thanks for the link Dave.

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns
I would enjoy hearing about YOUR Remington Model 32, especially any graded guns.
Remdog1187--are you still around?
This is an unsigned engraved 32TC, best guess is German engraved during occupation?

Re: Remington "lightweight" Hammerless SxS's?
Well it looks like several of us collectors have "lightweight" 12 bore hammerless Remingtons! My next question (with no answer I'm betting) is why there are not many catalog references? The other makers already were building smaller frames and gauges to expand markets I would assume. My 12...

Re: Remington "lightweight" Hammerless SxS's?
Mike,
I would like to see some pictures of your "lightweight" hammerless 12's.
It sounds like I may have the same variation in my Model 1900.
Thank you for the reply, Mike

20 Gauge Model 1894?
The only mention that I have ever seen is from Charles Semmer's book. Is there any credible information out there somewhere?

Re: 1894 10 gauge shot count?
I also have an 32" 1889 10 gauge (10.4 lbs) It is marked right 42 left 50. When Rick comes out we will spend some time measuring bores and chokes and maybe reverse engineer the constrictions. Years ago I had some sandhill cranes decoy in on our set, I was laying on my back with the 10 and cut l...

1894 10 gauge shot count?
My "Big Boy" B grade 10 gauge is stamped right barrel 25, left 42. my question is what was the total shot count for the test? I wonder if it is the same as the 12 gauge--1 1/4 ounce of #8's or?

Re: Model 32
Michael McIntosh had a nice chapter on the Remington Model 32 in "Best Guns"
David March did a nice article in Shotgun Sports magazine (Final Shot)
It would have been a great bonus had Charles Semmer covered the 32 in his superb fashion.

Re: Model 29-T
Maybe a little help?
I bought on auction a Model 29 (trap?) It has a straight grip checkered stock and fore end.
It is a 28" full with a tapered solid milled rib. The side is marked Model 29.I am guessing it's maybe a 29S?
