16 Gauge 1889's??
I have been looking for ANY 16 gauge 89's, don't seem to see them around. How many of you Remington collectors have found a 16 gauge 1889?

Matted Top Barrels
I am familier with matted barrels on model 10's,29's and 31's but recently found a 28" mod 870 barrel that is matted in the same old style. I am building a straight stocked shortened trap gun (10-T styled) for my grandson with this barrel. I would like it if anyone has information about Remingt...

Re: Bill West--historian, author
2shooter, I am not specifically looking for any years but always looking for ones that I don't have. It was nice to have access to collectors that could compile and re-print catalogs. I also like Shotgun News!

Bill West--historian, author
In the late 70's and 80's I bought a few of Bill West's books on Remington Guns.
Also reprints of catalogs and such from Rolling Block Press, Brea, CA sold by McKee Publications
I can't find any references or sources for these authors, anybody have sources?

Re: Model 31L 20 gauge with TC wood?
It might have been up-graded as a light weight trap gun. Light weight often translates "kicks like a mule".
Very nice looking 31!

The Galazan is what I used, sand to give the shape and finish you want. Wax with Renaissance Wax for a nice low shine!

Re: FE Trap restoration
Thank you for the photo posting. I don't think that graded Remingtons give up much to the Foxes and Parkers!

Remington Model 10
I am curious if any collectors have seen any Model 10D, F, T"s with a damascus barrel? I have read but not seen that the Winchester Model 97 could be purchased with the damascus option.

Re: Pigeon Gun ? or Trap Gun ?
I think we still call clay targets "clay pigeons" as a reference to the cross over between the two disciplines-- Trap Gun or Pigeon Gun?
Ken, Remingtons have never held any sort of collectable value close to Parker or Fox. (that's why I collect them)!
