I still would ask what is the choke and the pellet count stamp on the lug does it match the choke. I have a 1894 grade A 30" barrels
choke dia. right .747 pellet count 326
choke dia. left .745 pellet count 356

I would ask what the chokes and the pellet count, does it match, also what is the bore diameter. My guess the barrels have been cut look at the end do the barrel touch and is the triangle between the barrels steel or solder.

My Model 1889 10ga. grade one is 2 7/8 chamber that is standard unless its been ream.

I have checked three 1882 an two 1883 ten Ga. guns all have 2 5/8 chambers. also have checked five 1878 duck guns they all have 2 7/8 chambers I would think they would have keep that as the standard chamber for ten Ga. but they didn't.

This 1900 from what I can put together was sent back to Remington factory after 1911 restock and 26 inch set of barrels add to gun all serial numbers match.

Be careful of 26 inch barrels most have been cut check the pellet count stamp on them and the chokes. I have a 1900 that has 30 and 26 inch two barrel set the serial number is 315359 the pellet count for 26 in. right 201 left 289. Both set of barrels are serial number to the gun.

I would not refinish the wood or metal the marks give it character that happen to it when your father or grandfather was hunting with it. Just carefully clean, wipe it down.

Your chances of finding a higher then a grade 3 is not likely there is less then fifty known. Then to cut one up is not good.

I have a Remington 1889 grade 3 with 20 3/4 inch Damascus barrels I would sell. It would have to be check by a gunsmith if safe to shoot

Yes they have two out for 2017.There is two different handle. Looks like bone and stag I don't know if any are available or sold out. They list at $100.00 and $120.00 I got mine.
