Re: Model 1100 Butt Stock
My intent was not to encourage you to leave, but to pay attention. If you look at the results of a search you can usually pretty easily deduce the terms used in the search. For example, on GunBroker, you go firearm parts/shotgun, then select stocks, then type in Remington 1100.

Re: Model 1100 Butt Stock
You're in luck. The standard receiver size 20 gauge and the Standard receiver 20 gauge Magnum, whose serieal numbers end in 'X' and 'N' respectively, used the same butt stock as a 12 gauge, or a 12 gauge Magnum, if you want a recoil pad. They have the nice old ones with the white diamond grip cap an...

Re: Convert 1100 12Ga 3" Magnum to 2 3/4"?
If your receiver is indeed rollmarked MAGNUM with that 'V' serial number, you have another relative rarity. The longer I live, the more I learn to never say never where Remington is concerned. I had a duck hunting buddy who got a 3" Magnum 1100 about the same time I did, and I remember his said...

Re: Convert 1100 12Ga 3" Magnum to 2 3/4"?
Nice gun. 1963 is right; mine is about 1100 numbers older than yours. According to that serial number that is a 2-3/4" receiver. Magnum receiver serial numbers all ended in 'M', and 2-3/4" in 'V'. The only parts that are different between a 2-3/4" and a 3" gun are the barrels (3&...

Re: Remington 1100 receiver part missing! Is it dangerous?
No problem. What I meant was that, although there is no safety issue because the gun will not fire unless the bolt is locked into the barrel extension, if there is a slight misalignment when the bolt comes flying back into battery, it will almost surely break the extractor, because there isn't that ...

Fair enough. When the extractor gets broken, I think you should have gotten it fixed.

Re: Bean Bag Shotgun?
Your cousin is pretty smart. The Remington will support any 12 gauge ammunition you can find. I do not know what is available non-lethal. I don't want to hit someone in the eye defending my life and have them sue me. I prefer only one witness. Me.

The 'S' prefix puts it between 1968 and 1974.

Re: Questions About an 11-48 .410 Skeet Gun...
Roughly $400 to $550 in the condition you describe. I see a lot of 11-48s in 410 and 28 gauge listed with higher prices, but I do not see them selling for that. I believe they were made from 1948 until 1968.

Skeet, 'A' grade. Basic skeet gun. 'B' grade was higher, better wood, more money.
