Re: 760 gamemaster 5-diamond

Edited/corrected! Letter referenced shows the ADL 5 Diamond as a 1953 intro. I have a 1953 serial # 760 with the "5 Diamond" checkering, in 300 Savage. Also has a Griffin and Howe side mount. Not sure why the heck they put a G&H side mount, and the requisite side receiver holes! when t...

Huge Thanx!

New guy here, but a regular on a lot of gun forums (MarlinOwners/Cast Boolits, etc). Recently got a 1952 Rem 760 ADL, found and posted here. Also needed a small part and posted about that. 600RemGuy responded, and has been VERY helpful. We traded some postings and PMs, and he is sending me the part ...

Re: 760 part needed

600 Screw threads don't/won't matter. Screw shaft is smooth - not threaded. If hole in 'donut' is at least >= .300" and thickness is <= .400" - it should work. If you are willing to part with it, let me know and we can work something out. If it won't work for me I can always send it back t...

Re: 760 part needed

600 Here is what I took off the rifle... Screw length/space for the 'donut' for the swivel is .400". Diameter of the screw is .300". See screw head in the pic. Looks like, for some reason, someone took the donut swivel holder off the rifle. No clue why, but then I can't figure out why it h...

Re: 760 part needed

Not sure. The newsletter I saw said the ADL had swivels. This one has what looks like a factory rear. And the front screw in the tube has extra space where the "donut" with the swivel stud would go. Just thought I would give it a try. May just get the UM set and use the part I need - if it...

WTB - 760 sling attachment part

Just picked up a Jun 1953 manu 760 ADL - according to the things I am seeing and have found. Rifle has the rear factory sling swivel and forend sling attachment screw. But it is missing the 'donut' piece that goes around the forearm screw and has the drop down piece that the sling swivel attaches to...

Re: Model 760 date code too early

I just got a Jun '53 ADL. has all the features, and the newsletter info says Jun '53 was first month/year of the ADL. Mine is checkered, has the higher comb, and is D&T for scope, plus sling mounts

Re: M760

Just picked up a 760 ADL manu Jun 1953. Saw elsewhere here (not on forum - in newsletter section) where Jun '53 was first month/year of the ADL and that it was drilled and tapped. Mine is. Not sure that is/was the start of the drill/tap, but at least goes back that far. Crazy thing is, the rifle has...

On a lot of other forums. Just got my first Rem CF (have an old 582 .22 from when I was a kid). Just ran into a 760 ADL manufactured Jun 1953 according to serial # and month code on the bbl. It is an ADL version with the higher comb and checkering. From what I saw, Jun '53 was the very first month t...
