Looks like 1926. Second link will tell you which month from the barrel date code.

Re: Remington sxs 12 Ga no markings

I ran across a Remington side by side 12 gauge with exposed hammers. It looks newer but it has no markings on the barrels. anybody have any idea what this might be? Also, it has @20” barrel with double triggers. Thanks! Maybe..... Does it look like these? https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.ph...

Re: Info on Rem. 700

I have a Remington 700 .223 cal. and am curious about it. It has a KO on the left side, followed by an upside down V. The s/n is 6876xxx , has a 26(maybe 25, didn't write it down) inch barrel and a synthetic stock. Very accurate riffle. What I am curious about is the date of manufacture, and anythi...

I have several "boxes", too.
Almost forgot about them until I saw this post.
Frequently seen/sold at DU banquets, back in the day.

Re: Model 11 with 32 inch barrel

I was just looking at some of my shotguns the other day and noticed that my model 11 had a longer barrel. Did they make a 32 inch barrel for the Model 11? It is full choke. My Model 11 is from 1929. Thanks for any input this group might have. If you HAVE one, then they obviously made them. Actually...

Won a 25 on an auction the other night and shipper say's it will be delivered on Monday . Very used rifle but supposed to be in good mechanical condition with a good bore . I am a shooter not a collector and want it cleaned and checked out and was wondering if anyone knows of a person in the North ...

Re: Remington speedmaster 552 date code

Hello, I recently came into possession of a Remington Speedmaster 552 that has what appears to be a date code of JPR but I can't seem to find any info on it. I may be looking at it wrong, any assistance would be wonderful. https://www.flickr.com/gp/visconti/5U27e3 Please review the following links....

Re: Remington Rifles Sent To Russia In 1918

Dear Forum Readers, I'm attempting to verify information that a shipment of an estimated 115,000 Remington rifles were dispatched to Russia on the U.S. Army Transport Ship Thomas in early 1918 which landed in Vladivostok. U.S. Army soldiers forming the AEF Siberia were also on this ship as well. I ...

Re: Remington Lever Action Rifle

Gents, I was asked if Remington ever produced a tubular magazine lever action rifle in the mid-20th century. A fellow insists he has one marked “Remington Model 200”, but I believe he has a Marlin-produced “Revelation” rifle. He won’t produce a photo. Thoughts? . Here's the only one I know of. The ...

Re: Ridiculous Wood

It's not that unusual to find really nicely figured stocks on "standard" grade firearms. I have a 1971 700 ADL in 7 mm Rem Mag that has a beautifully figured stock.....and, a 1980 700 BDL in 7mm Exp. Rem with some exceptional wood. Back in those days, there weren't any synthetic stocks.......

Re: Is this a model 14 or 141?

The OP meant 2020, not 1920; this is very clear from the colored Pennsylvania Game Commission badge on the page he posted. So “deductive reasoning” from the incorrect date doesn’t work here. The vehicle in the photo could be pre-1935, but that doesn’t mean the photo was taken before that date. I ca...

Re: Is this a model 14 or 141?

Pg 31 of the June 2020 Pennsylvania Game News has a picture of a hunter & deer. I think he is holding a model 14, but it could be a 141? Any opinions? Rem.JPG I believe you meant 19 20. So, with a little deductive reasoning...... Using information from the first link below: " The Remington...
