Large rubber mallet, bench block, cartridge stop and magazine spring/follower removed, several good whacks, and problem solved. Thank you again, you are a lifesaver.
I think the ejector was dislodged from its “channel” when I assembled it, and that locked the bolt up.

Thank you Jim! I will search for a nylon block and give it a whack (pun intended). There is definitely no cartridge in the chamber. I will let you know how it turns out.

Thank you for replying. I didn’t take the bolt apart. I only cleaned the outer surfaces and wiped it down. It is still locked in the bolt closed position. For me, it’s a real head scratcher.
Oh, almost forgot, I did work the action after firing it.
