Surprised to see a recent comment on this rifle. Don't know what kind of wood it is but it sure is beautiful for a cheap (at the time) rifle. Also curious about the shortened barrel and the letters after the "BZ" date stamp. If these are proof/inspectors marks are other Model 6s also marked this way ...
