old receiver

This receiver is from a 'Stevens Visible Loader', Model No. 70 pump action rifle. They were made from 1907 to the early 1930's. They are neat to cycle in that the feeding and ejecting happens aft of the barrel breech in plain view. Mine is marked for 22 s, l, lr ammo. It is fun to shoot. One caution...

Remington 16

Shootist, I have a Remington 16 that has been modified to shoot .22LR. It is a lot of fun to shoot and operates every bit as good as the Winchester 1903's & 63's. I'll send photos of the breech to show the mod if you want.

Remingto 14

I recently acquired a nice R14a in .30rem. The barrel has 4 code stampings on the barrel. They are kr3, cr3, ar3 and er3 (left to right heading aft) with a double struck W next to the receiver. They all appear to have been done prior to blueing the barrel. The rifle has not been re-blued. Any ideas ...
